I use various colors and sizes of glass rods for my work. Once the glass is in a molten state, I shape them into my creations. I use both soft and hard glass and melt them on an oxygen-fed propane torch- its heat reaches about 1,500 °C (2,700 °F). Additionally, I use various granite tools, mandrels, lab-created special opals for planets, and fine silver for fuming.
