Handmade Gold & Silver Fumed Glass Implosion Marble, v601
Turn it slowly toward the light and a fumed flower unfurls inside the glass, its petals threaded with gold and drifting silver. This is implosion work at its most quietly dramatic: colour pulled inward and sealed beneath a clear borosilicate dome that magnifies every detail.
Sinem shapes each marble by hand at the torch in her seaside studio in Akrata, Greece. Working Pyrex-grade borosilicate with the lampworking and implosion technique, she fumes fine gold and silver into a living bloom, then kiln-anneals the piece for lasting strength. No two are ever alike.
