Silver Fumed Large Galaxy Marble, With Two Floating Opals and Backside Decoration, v307
A generous orb, and inside it an entire galaxy with room to roam. Silver fuming lays down deep metallic nebulae while two opal planets float at different depths, each one glowing with its own colour. Turn it and the decorated backside adds a second scene, so the piece rewards you from every angle.
Sinem builds each galaxy by hand in her seaside studio in Akrata, Greece, layering Pyrex-grade borosilicate glass through lampworking and implosion. A larger marble like this takes more glass and more time, and because every galaxy is worked freehand it is entirely one of a kind.
