A mushroom sprouting from the cosmos. Its cap holds a swirling silver-fumed galaxy with a luminous opal planet, and under UV light the whole sculpture glows, uncovering colors hidden in daylight. Whimsical and celestial at once.
Sinem sculpts each galaxy mushroom by hand in her seaside studio in Akrata, Greece. She lampworks borosilicate (Pyrex-grade) glass, forms the galaxy with the implosion technique, sets a lab-grown opal as the planet, and works in UV-reactive glass so it comes alive under blacklight. Every mushroom is formed freehand and is one of a kind.
