Galaxy Glass Pendant with Floating Opal, v339
Fine silver fuming lends this galaxy pendant its metallic shimmer, a haze of starlight around an opal that seems to float in deep space. Tilt it and the silver catches, the opal flashes, and the whole small world inside the glass comes alive.
Sinem lampworks each pendant by hand in her seaside studio in Akrata, Greece, using borosilicate (Pyrex-grade) glass. The silver-fumed galaxy is built up in layers over the flame, so no two are ever the same; this one is entirely one of a kind.
Light to wear and endlessly absorbing to look at, it is made for lovers of the cosmos and collectors of galaxy glass alike, and it gives beautifully as a keepsake.
