There is a quiet magic in this galaxy egg: an opal crescent moon hangs within layered nebulae, and pinpricks of colour drift like distant stars. Rotate it and the light travels through the glass, waking the opal into soft blues and greens.
Sinem lampworks each egg by hand in Akrata, a seaside town in Greece. Using Pyrex-grade borosilicate, she paints the cosmos in molten glass, sets the opal planet at its centre, and kiln-anneals the finished piece for everyday durability. As with every galaxy egg from her torch, this one is entirely unique.
