The maker
Meet Sinem — a self-taught glass artist
From a small home studio by the sea in Akrata, Greece, Sinem melts rods of borosilicate glass and, working only by hand and eye, coaxes entire cosmos into being — nebulae, planets, drifting opal stars.
There are no moulds and no two are alike. Each marble, pendant and keepsake is a singular object, made slowly and meant to be kept.

Caught in the light, by the sea
Each piece is photographed where it is made — held to the Aegean sun, against the whitewashed walls of Akrata. No two are alike, and the one you see is the only one there will ever be.
