Each earring holds a whole solar system in miniature: a silver-fumed galaxy wrapped around a single opal planet that catches the light and glows from within. Small, quiet, and endlessly absorbing.
These are handmade by Sinem, a self-taught glass artist in Akrata, a seaside town in Greece. She lampworks borosilicate (Pyrex-grade) glass and uses implosion to draw the galaxy inward around a lab-grown opal, then hangs each sphere from sterling silver ear hooks. Because the cosmos is formed by hand, this pair is unique and will never be repeated exactly.
