A whole night sky, caught and held in the palm. Silver fuming lays down soft galactic mist and pinpricks of starlight, and above it a luminous opal crescent moon floats free, shifting colour as you turn the orb.
Sinem makes each galaxy marble by hand in her studio in the seaside town of Akrata, Greece. Working Pyrex-grade borosilicate glass by lampworking and implosion, she builds these scenes layer by layer, so the depth you see is real glass, not print. No two marbles share the same galaxy, and this one exists only once.
It makes a considered gift for the dreamer or the collector, and a small daily reminder to look up.
